This solus Rochdale was affected by a shortage of cars (37). Visitors included Dave Tapping, John Wright, Neil Pokorny, Rob Cowley, Pete Bailey, Chris Elwell and Bobby Burns. The three heats had 13, 15 and 15 cars with the third doubling up several entrants. The 13 car Consolation was Richard's first win followed up with a 3rd in the GN. The Final was won by Burnsy, with Mike Close clattering into the fence courtesy of a payback hit from Iain Stirk. This was following on from an incident at the previous Friday's Bradford. Ray Tyldesley and Graham Blundell were engaged in battle with the pursuers, whilst the closing stages saw Bezz launching sustained hits on the 212 rear end through turns 1 and 3. Frankie resisted this onslaught to take the runners up spot
