The stadium held it's first meeting on Easter Monday, 31st March 1975. On the bill were Bangers, Mini Rods and Motor Cycles. It would be two years before the track saw any stock car racing. A one-off meeting for F1 was held in 1994, before regularly having 2-3 meetings a year from 1999 to 2001.
