International Championship
The Irish Team was captained by Freddie Williams and included Miss Heather Fitzgerald. The English team included Steve Storm, Jean Forrest, and Tanya Crouch. Ireland won the team event, despite Williams running out of petrol on the last lap. Smythe won the final but was docked a place for continually cutting the corners.
