A new ground for Cradley Heath St Luke's FC was a basic pitch when it was built on farmland in 1917, with a grandstand and other stadium facilities added in 1924.
With the football club in financial difficulties, a deal was struck to introduce greyhound racing and speedway in 1947.
Two stock car meetings were staged on the 367 yard track in December 1954.
The stadium closed in 1995 and was demolished in 1998. The housing estate built there includes roads named Racemeadow Crescent, The Lukes and Stadium Drive.
