Only 30 of the 41 cars booked in actually raced, with a number cancelling in protest of changes in the way start money was paid. The new schedule was £1 per 1000 spectators after the first 3000.
The wrong date is printed on the inside of the programme. Two copies of the programme have been found, a blurry one with results, and a clear one without.
