Also known as Dub Ranger. An automobile engineer by trade, Sylvan Ranger began converting ex-army vehicles into 'Woody' estate-type cars when new cars were very difficult to purchase in the early 1950s. For racing, he built a car called "The Stranger", short for Stonehenge Ranger, which he shared with Cliff Tyndall. Note the graphic of Stonehenge on the side of the car.
