BriSCA F1 European Championship

The European Championship is contested over a summer's racing weekend at it's now traditional home - Northampton International Raceway. Qualifying races take place on the Saturday evening whilst the Championship race is run on the Sunday afternoon prior to the start of a regular meeting.

The European grid is made up of the top 20 available drivers from the National Points charts, plus Dutch pre-qualifiers, with additional drivers taken from Saturday nights racing to give a total grid of 32 cars.

The Championship grid is formed in graded order, closed grid format, hence the top drivers start towards the rear of the grid. Since 2005 the European Champion has been awarded the right to wear a red and yellow checked roof.
