Racing took place at South Yorkshire Sports Stadium on Station Road, Wombwell, near Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Also known as Wombwell Greyhound Stadium, it staged dog racing 1928-1956, and speedway 1929-1965. It was demolished in 1968.
Not to be confused with the stadium on Hough Lane, Wombwell, which was also known as Wombwell Greyhound Stadium, and ran greyhounds 1934-1972.
There are also records of speedway at Ings Road Stadium, Wombwell, in 1929, but this is the same place as South Yorkshire Sports Stadium - Station Rd turned into Ings Rd after the stadium.
